CISCO's, Mobile CAPS gives the officers the ability to write, submit and research incident reports from the field, keeping them on patrol.
In the mobile CAPS environment, the emergency responders are able to complete calls for service and offense reports for submission to supervisory review, or directly to the live database.
The agency may choose to enter Offense related reports in a form based format. Our development staff will take your existing paper based reports and recreate them digitally. This allows the responders to enter information into familiar fields, keeping the training to a minimum.
The officers are also able to query the State/Federal databases just as if they were sitting in the wired office. When partnered with CISCO's Mobile CAD, they are also able to research up to the second information on Agency BOLO's, Address Advisories, Premise History, Building & Business Information, Previous Calls for Service, Hazardous Materials Information, Standard Operating Procedures, Warrant Information, Permit Information and System Wide Master Name Search Information.
Mobile CAPS was developed by CISCO to work with the latest high speed wireless technologies available today. We have the flexibility of deploying Mobile CAPS using either Thin Client Technology or Microsoft Terminal Services. The units are able to query information from the live database on the server. This has all been designed to be a highly cost effective solution that does not require a third party software switch.
